Back in 2019 after a bad day at the office, we sat down and discussed what we would do if we started our own business. Over our shared passion and experience in hospitality, we knew we had something to offer that was scarce in Essex...a mobile bar service

In the summer of 2019 we purchased a horsebox trailer and with the help of Jack's dad, converted the shell of metal into a functional bar on wheels. Upon completing the trailer we were greeted with the news of the Covid 19 outbreak which brought hospitality to a standstill.

Refusing to give up, we took to the virtual realm delivering cocktail tutorials to generate some interest (and keep ourselves out of trouble) with the ease in restrictions the business was able to deliver cocktail kits to customers.

Further ease in restrictions meant small groups could mingle, presenting us with the next opportunity. Following some investment in a pop-up bar After VI has since provided bar services for weddings, birthdays, and business mixers all over Essex, London and Kent as well as surrounding areas. After 3 years since the company first started we acquired our first premises...The Taproom.

In April 2022, Sam joined the team as we took over the Upminster Taproom, a micropub just off the main high street in Upminster. Paying homage to the business we inherited, but adding what we knew we could improve, we have made the place somewhere both we and our customers are proud of! 

With craft beer options now available on keg, seasonal cocktail menus, and an ever-rotating stocked beer fridge there's always something for everyone. Alongside that a wall of cider with 30+ flavours... we're convinced we have one the most diverse product offerings around!

The Taproom now offers many events alongside our usual trading days to make it the best place to visit in Upminster (we think so anyway!). Whether it's live music, beer festivals, or our tasting nights, there is always something going on in the heart of Upminster
